On The Road to the Conformation Ring

Bruiser is a Yorkshire Terrier, who is looking towards the conformation ring in 2016. He is puppy in training and we think he is “Gonna WynSumor” for the Devil line.

Bruiser comes from a line of champions and this is will be my first attempt at showing a dog in a conformation competition. I think with a great dog like Bruiser and an experienced breeder backing me and teaching me the ropes, we can accomplish this.

…so what showing a dog means:

Bruiser and I have to show in the confirmation ring and win a total of 15 points from at least three different judges. At least one of those first place points must be a major of at least five points. Points are awarded based on how many dogs are in the ring competing, more dogs more points.

I think Bruiser and I are going to learn a lot and have a great time doing it. Bruiser and I have big  shoes to fill as we go down this new road together!
