 Acquiring my New Yorkie Puppy

Waiting patiently . .  It seems like forever. The wait was so worth the while,  I am pleased the day has finally arrived. I have been summoned, the puppy is ready to for pick up. Yah, I’m doing a little jig, okay not really, just in my head! My husband and I are heading over the Rocky Mountains to Loveland Colorado, this is where Bruiser lives. It is May and for some crazy reason it is snowing on the mountain. Vail pass is a white out and visibility is poor, we arrive at our destination safe and sound.

Kathy is expecting us and we plan to go over as much as we so I can learn as much as we can about Yorkies, this particular Yorkie and our future plans for him. She has promised to take us through the steps to get Bruiser prepared for the show in Greely, the week of August 16th. We spend a couple of hours going over so much information, I had to take notes.

We go over show training, for a beginner. What products to use for bathing, grooming, and feeding. Kathy like BilJack, which is nice because the morsels are so small and easy for puppies to chew. We go over the contract, shot records, and AKC registration. We talk about structure and review what she taught me the last time we met. We talk about pedigrees and it is duly noted that Kathy has extensive records of all her dogs.

We have finished up and are ready to head out. Bruiser has his favorite hoof, stuffed animal, squeaky toy, and food to last a week. I have Bruiser in his new blue kennel.
